Overall Purpose of the Position
We are seeking motivated and innovative scientists to join the PsA CARE Hub as Associate Research Scientist, under a contract renewable for up to 3 years. The role offers an unparalleled opportunity to conduct impactful research in PsA while receiving mentorship and support tailored to fostering your academic independence. You will contribute to high-impact research projects, collaborate with leading clinicians and scientists, and engage in training and mentorship activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct independent and collaborative research focused on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of PsA.
• Publish high-impact research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Supervise and mentor graduate students (MSc and PhD) and research personnel in their research projects.
• Collaborate with clinicians and scientists at York University and the Schroder Arthritis Institute (University Health Network) to integrate clinical insights with translational and basic science discoveries.
• Develop competitive applications for external funding from agencies (private and governmental sources).
• Engage in knowledge dissemination through symposia, public/patient outreach, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
• A PhD in immunology, molecular biology, rheumatology, or a related field, with more than two (2) years of postdoctoral experience and a track record of impactful publications.
• Strong skills in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication.
• Commitment to team science, collaboration, and mentorship of trainees.
