Note that if required, PDFs will only be shared with judges to judge in the first round. A second round of judging will still take place in person as normal. No triage will happen in round 1.
  • All abstracts will have their poster title, poster description and author information posted on the Mobile App and have the option to submit a pre-recorded video presentation of their poster for additional exposure. The due date is March 21st for these to be uploaded.

Notes for the preparation of Posters:
The dimensions of the poster should not exceed 3' 5" (w) by 4' (h). Push pins will be provided.
Posters being judged should prepare for an 8-minute oral presentation of their poster and then will have 2 minutes of questions with judges.
-----------------------------------------------------------

**Only applies to CSI Trainee Members who indicated that they wanted their poster to be judged when they submitted their abstract online.

Judges will be circulating the poster session room. During the poster session you’re assigned (either poster session 1, 2 or 3), you can expect one pair of judges to visit your poster. You will be given 8-mins to present to them and then have 2-mins for Q&A. Though judges will circulate in pairs, their scores will be submitted individually.

Winners will be announced during the Banquet Awards Dinner.

What is the Judging Process?
Your poster will be judged based on the following criteria:

  1. Introduction: Is the introduction clear? Is a hypothesis stated (if needed)? Does the rationale make sense?
  2. Methods/Results: Are the methods clear? Have the outcomes been explained or anticipated? Are the results clear and convincing?
  3. Conclusions: Are the conclusions clear and justified?
  4. Questions: Did the trainee answer questions adequately (applicable to the in-person round only)?
  5. Is the poster well laid out? Are the slides/images clear and attractive?
